Telangana home minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy is one of the few straightforward leaders in Telangana. He doesn’t mince words when he wants to say something and calls spade a spade.

In the past, when media persons enquired with him about the alleged fake encounter in northern Telangana forests, he feigned ignorance saying the police officials would not tell him before resorting to encounters.

A ‘candid’ comment made by the home minister landed chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in an embarrassing position.

Speaking at the inauguration of a calendar of Telangana Fighters’ Association, Nayini said: “Several (ba…rds) who had opposed Telangana and abused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao in filthy language, have become the MLAs and MPs of the TRS and even ministers in KCR cabinet.”

He went on to say that despite their abusing KCR, they were admitted into the TRS only because KCR wanted to wipe out the TDP which had opposed the Telangana formation.

Though Nayini did not take any names, it is known to everybody as to who these leaders are.

Foremost among them are ministers Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav and Mahender Reddy, who used to criticise KCR strongly during the Telangana agitation. Talasani had even threatened to drive KCR out of Hyderabad for attacking Andhra settlers.

Similarly, MLAs like Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao, Gandhi, Vivekanada and others, who strongly opposed Telangana formation, are playing key role in the TRS now.

It is for the first time that a minister in KCR’s cabinet himself had found fault with the presence of anti-Telangana and anti-KCR leaders in the cabinet and the party.

Definitely, it is a big embarrassment to the TRS chief. #KhabarLive
