Andhra Pradesh minister for marketing and warehousing Ch Adinarayana Reddy, who is one of the 23 defectors from YSR Congress party into the Telugu Desam Party, has virtually exposed the ruling party’s drama over pulling out of the National Democratic Alliance in the Centre.
Adinarayana Reddy reacted rather aggressively to the challenge made by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to the TDP MPs for quitting the Parliament.
He said the TDP MPs would resign from their seats on March 6 itself, a month before the deadline set by Jagan for the resignation of YSRC MPs.
This has triggered uproar in the political circles and created a lot of embarrassment to the TDP.
Within minutes, the news reached TDP president and chief minster N Chandrababu Naidu, who called up Adinarayana Reddy and pulled him up.
“How can you make such an announcement when we haven’t taken any decision? We will go step by step in our agitation and take an appropriate decision at an appropriate time,” he told him.
In the meantime, TDP spokesperson Rajendra Prasad and others also issued a disclaimer, stating that the party has nothing do with Adinarayana Reddy’s claims.
And following the dressing down from Naidu, Adi also clarified that his comments on the resignation of MPs were his persona and not a decision of the party.
But the way party hurriedly reacted to Adinarayana Reddy’s comments and his instant clarification within an hour clearly shows the TDP has no plans to come out of the NDA, at least for now and a massive bargaining has been going on between the TDP and the BJP at the highest level. #KhabarLive
