Is Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu looking at joining the Congress party-led UPA?

It is not known whether he has any such idea or not, his present ally Bharatiya Janata Party seems to have got this doubt.

Apparently, the BJP has got this doubt after seeing the TDP MPs going to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to have a chat, Congress party floor leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge serving a notice for a discussion on the implementation of the promises given to Andhra Pradesh in AP Reorganisation Act and the tweets of Congress president Rahul Gandhi supporting the demands of the TDP MPs and expressing his solidarity with them.

That was the reason why BJP official spokesman in Delhi G V L Narasimha Rao lashed out at the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi for shedding crocodile tears on AP and trying to play politics.

“If anybody falls in the Congress trap, it will be the biggest blunder,” he said, indirectly referring to the TDP.

Well, those who know Naidu’s style of politics, it is no surprise if he joins hands with the Congress.

He can make friendship with anybody if he thinks it will be politically beneficial to him and his party and dump any party, if he realises there is a public resentment against it.

Now that the people of AP are angry with BJP, he is trying to dump it and since there is a chance that the Congress might bounce back to power with its allies at the Centre, he may try that route, say analysts.

After all, there are no permanent friends and foes in politics. And for Naidu, power is more important than values in politics! #KhabarLive
