Sneha Sasikumar, Research Scholar, Department of Dance, SN School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad, has got the opportunity to represent the Indian classical dance traditions at Hanoi, Vietnam. “I am extremely happy to introduce the core of Kuchipudi through performance and demonstration at the Vietnam Dance College,” Sneha shares.

The event was organised by the Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism, Vietnam in association with the Embassy of India, Hanoi. Sneha is an acclaimed Kuchipudi danseuse and is an associate member of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA), an empanelled artiste of SPICMACAY, graded artist of Doordarshan broadcasting media, member of World Dance Council at the UNESCO. She has rendered Kuchipudi dance performances on many stages across India and abroad.

Her acclaimed international performances include the one before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Dubai and at Myanmar before the Nobel Prize winner Aung San Su Kyi. Sneha is researching on Efficacy of Therapy through Kuchipudi on patients suffering from anxiety and depression disorders under the supervision of Prof. Aruna Bhikshu, Head, Department of Dance. #KhabarLive
