The unusual enthusiasm being displayed by Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao in making sharp comments against the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is believed to be causing troubles for his father and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Though KCR had been very careful in commenting against BJP and Modi whenever he spoke in the recent past, KTR had made some aggressive comments against the Centre in general and Modi and BJP president Amit Shah in particular, while giving interviews to the media.

He strongly attacked Modi on issues like demonetization and GST, besides for not giving the due to the state.

Naturally, these comments have not gone down well with the BJP leaders. And they have reached Modi. This is believed to be the reason for the delay in announcing the tentative election schedule in Telangana.

The latest report is that the elections to Telangana might not be held along with four other states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram, but sometime in February.

The reports say the Modi government, too, is contemplating dissolution of Lok Sabha soon and go in for early elections in February. So, Telangana also might go to the assembly elections simultaneously.

Even the elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly also could be advanced. It would mean, KCR’s purpose of gaining political advantage by going in for early elections will not be served.

And the sudden circular from the Election Commission fast-tracking election model code of conduct also came as a bolt from blue for KCR from the Centre.

If elections are held in February and results are declared in March, KCR has absolutely nothing to take up any work in Telangana and that would only lead to increasing anti-establishment feeling among the people.

“All this is only because of overambitious attitude of KTR, who forced his father to go in for early elections so as to become the next chief minister. His overconfidence in returning to power, which made him speak against Modi, is also causing a lot of troubles for his father,” a party source said. #KhabarLive
