Firebrand ex-MLA from Kodangal and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president A Revanth Reddy seems to be mentally prepared for the arrest.

And if one were to go by his words during his emotional speech at Kodangal on Thursday, Revanth might not be able to campaign in the coming assembly elections in Telangana.

“Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and prime minister Narendra Modi have conspired to send me to jail for at least four months.

The police forces have been camping in my house. I sense that I might be arrested soon. May be this is my last speech before the elections,” Revanth said.

He said he would send his nomination papers from jail itself, if such a situation arises, but would contest from Kodangal. I will defeat the TRS candidate with over 50,000 majority.

“It is a fight between Revanth and KCR. I will take revenge on the chief minister once the elections are over. I am not scared of fighting any cases foisted against me,” Revanth said.

Since morning, a large number of Income Tax department sleuths have been conducting search operations on the residence and offices of Revanth Reddy following a complaint from an advocate who had alleged that the Congress leader had siphoned off crores of rupees from his infrastructure company and indulged in large scale money laundering by floating fictitious companies.

Apparently, the Congress leaders of the view that the TRS would have to face difficult situations in Telangana, if Revanth starts touring different parts of Telangana to campaign for the party.

So, if Revanth is prevented from campaigning, the TRS leaders can breathe easy, they say. #KhabarLive
