Member of Legislative Council from Narayankhed, Ramulu Naik who has been sacked by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for his alleged ‘anti-party’ activities, has blamed KT Rama as the reason behind his ouster. He has accused the TRS supremo’s son of not being able to digest criticism, and therefore pushing him out of the party.

“I advised him against moving closely with Danam Nagender, but he didn’t pay heed. There were a few other times where I objected to his views, and as he couldn’t take those objections, he ensured that I was removed from the party,” Ramulu told #KhabarLive. Danam Nagender had recently joined the TRS after resigning from the Congress party.

“He (KTR) destroyed my 20-year political career within 20 minutes, KCR of course would listen to his son and not me, right? So they terminated me immediately,” Ramulu alleged.

Ramulu lamented that the party didn’t issue a show cause notice and investigate the allegations, and rather kicked him out of the party without giving him a chance to offer an explanation. “This arrogance against STs and Dalits would cost the TRS heavily in the coming elections. They won’t win more than 30 seats, as there is strong anti-incumbency against sitting MLAs who have been offered seats again,” he said.

Speaking about his future in politics, Ramulu said that he hasn’t decided yet if he will be contesting independently or joining any other party. Ramulu has aspirations from Yellandu constituency in Bhadradri Kothagudem. He was sacked from the party on Monday after speculations that he met Telangana Congress Committee Chairman RC Khuntia and wanted to join Congress.

He further asked what was wrong in him asking for an MLA ticket. “I worked for the party for so many years, what was wrong in asking for an MLA ticket?”

Ramulu reiterated that he did not meet any Congress leader or thought of joining other party. “I haven’t decided if I should contest independently, but I will continue to fight for the rights of my people, as I have been doing for nearly two decades.”

Ramulu Naik, is one of the founding members of the TRS party. He was however sacked unceremoniously based on the allegation that he was sabotaging the party. Recently, responding to Naik’s expulsion, KCR warned that any leader who is working against the party would be expelled immediately. #KhabarLive
