According to reports coming from YSR Congress party sources in Amaravati are to be believed, party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will form his council of minister, most probably on June 8.
According to party sources, Jagan has begun the exercise in forming his cabinet on Friday and held a series of discussions with his close followers.
A large number of MLAs have been meeting him to put forth their candidatures for the cabinet berths.
Sources said Jagan will restrict his cabinet to just 15 members, apart from the chief minister himself. This would make the total strength of the cabinet 16 and the digits add up to seven, which is said to be a lucky number for Jagan.
It is learnt Jagan wants to take five seniors and 10 juniors into the cabinet.
Except bigger districts like Guntur and East Godavari which might get more than one berth, all the other districts would get one representation each in the cabinet, sources said.
After the cabinet is being formed, Jagan will go for special assembly sessions between from June 11 or 12.
It will be done for three days, wherein all the newly-elected members will take oath and Jagan will make a couple of policy announcements.
Jagan has already discussed with Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam and other officials on the modalities for assembly session.
The CS has informed the Assembly office to make the arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected MLAs. #KhabarLive
