The big question during lockdown arises why RSS men interfering the government duties. And why the government is become speechless on this act. Several questions boggling the minds and no proper clarification came out yet.
Many photographs of lathi-wielding activists belonging to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) manning a check post in Telangana sparked outrage on social media. The photos show the RSS workers standing along with the police, stopping vehicles on the highway and checking documents of commuters.
The incident is said to have taken place at the Gudur checkpost in Yadadri district of Telangana.
“RSS volunteers helping the police department daily for 12 hours at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district checkpost in Telangana (sic),” a tweet on April 9, which first triggered the row, stated.
The images triggered a row as many on social media tagged the police and asked if they were given permission to check the documents of citizens.
“Has law enforcement in Telangana been handed over to the RSS?” one user asked.
“If police dept needs assistance they should give an advertisement for volunteers. Many people who are interested from different organisations may join. It is completely undemocratic to have volunteers only from one organisation,” another user said.
However the police clarified that the RSS did not have permission to man the checkposts.
“A few photographs of men in RSS uniforms and holding lathis on a highway on the outskirts of Hyderabad have now gone viral on social media. This is the job of the police and we can do it. No permission has been given,” Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagat clarified to a query.
This is a not good sign from RSS to interfere the duties of police in Telangana, experts opined.
Meanwhile, Amjed Ullah Khan from MBT in a statement strongly criticised the action of TRS Govt in nominating and officially giving permission to RSS to work with State Govt departments raising objections among general public.
Khan said when pictures of RSS workers along with police personnels manning the entry points at Yadadri, Bhuvanagiri of Telangana came up on Social Media and public started questioning as how come Police officers permitted RSS to man the police check post the Commissioner of Police Rachakonda gave a rejoinder saying that no permission has been given to RSS to man the police check post.
Khan said that the Twitter handle @freindsofrss which is followed by Narendra Modi Prime Minister himself and almost all top RSS leaders, Central Ministers, Chief Ministers which posted photos of RSS workers manning the police check post also claimed that they are manning the police check post for 12 hours daily, What is this means…?
Khan questioned “How come the RSS volenters manned the police check post when there was no permission from the Commissioner of Police Rachakonda, Whom to be believed RSS or Commissioner of Police Rachakonda”.
Khan claimed that this not the first time that RSS workers are being given official permission to work along Govt Departments in Telangana, It was on 1st April also RSS workers were officially permitted to managed rice distribution at PDS Shops in Kamareddy by the Tahsildar.
Amjed Ullah Khan from MBT demanded a clarification from K Chandrashekar Rao Chief Minister, Govt of Telangan about RSS officially being asked to work along with Govt Departments. Khan asked whether it wa Soft Hindutva policy of TRS Govt or some Pro RSS officials in Telangana Govt doing on their own, If it’s not the policy of TRS Govt and statement of Commissioner of Police Rachakonda is to be believed Cases should be booked against RSS workers for manning Police Check post at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and necessary departmental action should be initiated against Tahsildar Kamareddy who officially permitted RSS workers to managed Rice Distribution in Kamareddy on 1st April.
Amjed Ullah Khan asked Asad Uddin Owaisi AIMIM President as whether he has lost his job of driver as it seems TRS has appointed a new driver for their Car to be driven by an RSS worker.
