KCR, the supremo of TRS party known for his intelligent politician and political juggler. He show something and do something else as per his mindgame. This same tactics he is playing with BJP at centre and here in state.

It may be fair to say that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s ‘guerrilla tactics’ vis-a-vis the BJP are working wonders — the saffron party, especially its Telangana unit, is unable to quite understand how to deal with the TRS chief.

The confusion in TS BJP is quite understandable, its leaders are simply unable to decide whether to criticise KCR or praise him as they are unable to read the mind of the Chief Minister.

While the state BJP wants to treat the TRS as its main political rival, the party’s national leadership believes that KCR is their undeclared political friend. Believes, but cannot confirm.

This is because KCR had initially opposed and later supported several of the decisions taken by the Central government. While political pundits have termed these as ‘U-turns’, KCR’s close associates say that this is all part of the TRS chief’s political strategy.

The latest example is KCR’s decision regarding the Central government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme. Ever since the scheme was introduced in 2018, the Chief Minister had strongly resisted it and refused to implement it in Telangana.

The state BJP and other parties also demanded the Chief Minister implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme, saying that it would help the poor.

However, KCR remained adamant, saying that the State government’s Arogyasri scheme was much better than Ayushman Bharat as the latter covers fewer people. He also termed Ayushman Bhart scheme as “useless”.

Then, inexplicably, KCR decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme, signalling that he was not looking for a confrontation with the Centre.

KCR’s decision was welcomed by the BJP national leadership, but the party’s state unit lost one weapon to attack KCR.

This was not an isolated instance. KCR had strongly opposed the Central government’s contentious farm laws and on his directions, TRS MPs had voted against these Bills in Parliament. Moreover, he KCR also supported the Bharat Bandh called against the contentious farm laws.

But a few days later, the Chief Minister changed his stand on the farm laws after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.

It’s well known that once KCR decides to oppose anything, he does it strongly and when he supports anything, he would go all out. Supporting the Centre’s farm laws, the TRS chief said: “The state government is not a business organisation or trader. It is not a  rice miller or dal miller. Sales and purchases are not its responsibility.”

He also said that there was no need for the state government to purchase agricultural produce as the new farm laws were being implemented across the country, allowing farmers to sell their crop anywhere.

In November 2020, the Chief Minister KCR announced that he would hold a meeting with the leaders of the country’s main opposition parties in Hyderabad and the agenda of the meeting would be the “anti-people” policies of the Modi government.

The said meeting never took place. #KhabarLive #hydnews
