Indiscipline in the Congress party is taking a toll on the image of the party with supporters indulging in posting derogatory comments on social media, trying to malign the leaders of rival groups.

Former minster K Jana Reddy has come forward to rescue the sagging image of the party where rival leaders are often seen washing dirty linen in public. Firing a salvo against unruly supporters, who are going for questionable comments on social media, he said such activities cannot be tolerated as that damage the image of the party. He said that followers of some Congress leaders were spreading different types of unfounded news on social media.

It was not good for the leaders and their followers, who were spreading such news, he said. It was no good on the part of the followers to challenge leaders of rival groups and say that their leader was great. The Congress party would be badly affected if the followers insulted party leaders by using harsh words against them, he said.

The party would have to take these things seriously, he said and went on to add that if the TPCC failed to pull up the unruly supporters and such acts of indiscipline continued he would go to the high command of the party and make sure that such things did not happen.  “The TPCC has to initiate action against them or else I will take the issue to the notice of high command. Action will be initiated from top to bottom.
