The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) issued an immediate statement on #KhabarLive report published on Friday to clarify the actual development and reasons of chief minister’s three adopted villages.

Apart from CMO statement, the other related officials on their capacity issued a rejoinder to the report ‘Why KCR’s Previously Adopted 3-Villages Cry For Attention As Vasalamarri Flourish?‘, published in these columns. The officials of Medchal-Malkajgiri District have stated that developmental works worth over Rs.30 crore had been sanctioned to Keshavaram, MC Pally and Laxmapur of MC Pally mandal — the three villages that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao adopted in 2017 — though contractors have not shown interest in taking up a portion of the works.

The District Panchayat Raj Engineer stated in a press release that of the 300 2BHK houses sanctioned to the three villages-100 houses each- the units in Keshavaram were grounded. As for the remaining 200 houses, tenders had been called nine times, though there had been no response from the contractors till date. The department was in the process of inviting tenders for the 10th time now.

“In this connection, it is submit that 78 works, costing Rs Rs.3107.18 lakhs are sanctioned and allotted to the PR Engineering Department, along with other departments, under the SDF (Special Development Fund) Grant (sic),” the note said.

According to it, out of the 78 works, 68 works had been completed, eight were in progress and two had not been started. An amount of about Rs.19.82 crore had been spent till date.

The release stated that some site ‘problems’ and forest problems were being tackled by the Revenue and Forest departments.

Of the 39 works costing about Rs.3.11 crore sanctioned and allotted to PR Engineering Department under SDF (CBF) grant, 30 works had been completed and works relating to nine of them were in progress, the release added. #KhabarLive #hydnews
