The most unsuccessful senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy is preparing ground to call it quits from the BJP and join the Congress party.

Nagam, who has been keeping away from the BJP activities for quite some time, blurted out on Friday, when he lashed out at the party leadership for ignoring him.

“I have faced severe humiliation in the party. Though I have nearly four decades of experience in politics, the BJP leadership did not give me due respect even as an ordinary party workers,” he lamented.

Stating that his followers have been asking him not to stay in the BJP where he had no respect, Nagam said he would take a decision soon after discussing with his supporters.

He declared that the forthcoming assembly elections in 2019 would be his last elections and if he did not win the elections, he would retire from politics.

The five-time MLA from Nagarkurnool, Nagam did not say which party he would like to join. However, he gave enough hints that he would be joining the Congress party, as he had attacked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi as well.

He accused the BJP of completely surrendering to the TRS and working like an ally of the ruling party.

Nagam Janardhan Reddy joined the BJP in 2013 after quitting the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Before joining the BJP, Nagam had floated his own political outfit Telangana Nagara Samithi, which he later merged with the BJP. #KhabarLive
