The way the Telugu Desam Party reacted to the Union budget presented by finance minister Arun Jaitely made one wonder whether the party would say bye-bye to National Democratic Alliance soon.

Soon after the presentation of budget, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu created a hungama, albeit indirectly, giving leaks to the media that he was quite unhappy with the budget, which meted out gross injustice to Andhra Pradesh.

He called for an emergency meeting of the party MPs on Sunday to discuss the future course of action.

He also had a meeting with his cabinet ministers at Amaravati to know their mind and going by the information from the party sources, majority of the ministers said it was time the TDP came out of the NDA before the damage is done to the party.

In Delhi, the MPs had a meeting at the residence of Union minister of state for science and technology Y S Chowdary alias Sujana Chowdary and told him the same thing.

Speaking to media later, Sujana Chowdary strongly criticised his own government for doing a lot of injustice to the state.
