Always bad election results caused by dissidents. And now, the dissident voices are spreading like wild fire in entire Telugu States arena. There is a need to beware the ruling parties in both states.
To put it simply, everything has a shelf life. Politicians’ lives are considerably shorter if they don’t just behave politically but also speak that way. That is the guiding idea that determines how politics will go. Every day, hatred permeates Telugu State politics, and the ruling parties continually remind the opposition of both its perilous situation and their own supposedly unbeatable position by pumping their fists in the air.
The head of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, K Chandrashekar Rao, asserts that he is prepared to make significant actions after declaring that his party will become the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). It would be interesting to find out if KCR has the capacity to adjust his tone and tenor to fit his new persona.
The Telangana Chief Minister needs to be able to appeal to voters’ senses as well as their emotions. He may declare himself to be a national leader, and perhaps a candidate for prime minister, but that depends on how well he can connect with voters nationwide. As far as the anti-BJP movement is concerned, he wants to put himself in the lead. But, bad-mouthing the Prime Minister alone does not lead to a glorified innings at the national level.
To become a national player, one should have a national argument that would endear him to the voters of the other States. Mamata Benerjee did try this. But, she had to beat a retreat and be content with her Bengali identity. It had to be so because she could not rise above the ‘local’ identity in terming Modi-Shah duo as outsiders and other BJP leaders as “hooligan hordes from UP and Bihar.”
She succeeded in conveying to the world that her core is Bengali and that is it. Chandrashekar Rao is hurtling down the same path. He is not only attacking Modi but also trying to revive the Telangana sentiment by calling some of his rivals as ‘outsiders’. Does it work? In addition, this also conveys that some amount of tentativeness has set in.
Voters in our democracy are intelligent enough to separate grain from the chaff. Technology is widening their horizons to enable them to subject the ‘power mongers’ to a greater scrutiny under the development scanner. The situation is similar in Andhra Pradesh where the ruling party president and the Chief Minister is banking on the caste divisions of the society.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen on wiping out the Opposition completely by bagging 175/175 in the Assembly elections. It only reflects his disposition towards democracy. In the process he is taunting Jana Sena and the TDP to go it alone in the elections. Why should they be doing it in taking on the YSRCP? He is keeping the Centre in good humour to some extent to ward off the threat of the BJP locally.
The BJP by itself may not pose a threat to the YSRCP, but when combined with the Jana Sena/TDP alliance and the investigating authorities, it could cause problems for Jagan. Despite how strong they may seem, that does not make them unbeatable. The whims of the average man are difficult to persuade, even though they may demand independence, control over, and protection against their rivals.
There are always people who disagree and refuse to follow or behave in a certain way. The elite, in their eyes, are neither powerful nor deserving of the authority they exercise. One’s shelf life is more reliant on this component. #KhabarLive #hydnews #hydlive
