మధ్య తరగతి.. ఎన్నికలనే కాదు.. ఎకానమీనీ ప్రభావితం చేసే వర్గమిది.. మరికొన్నాళ్లలో ఈ వర్గం మాయమైపోతోందట! నిజమే.. అధునాతన సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానం, ప్రపంచీకరణ వల్ల గత 20, 30 ఏళ్లలో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రజల మధ్య అసమానతలు పెరిగిపోయాయి. ధనికులు, పేద- మధ్యతరగతి ప్రజల మధ్య ఆదాయ అంతరాలు అధికమయ్యాయి. ధనికుల ఆదాయాలు అంతకంతకూ పెరిగిపోతున్నాయి, కింది తరగతుల వారి ఆదాయాలు క్షీణించటం లేదా పెరుగుదల లేకుండా ఉండిపోవటం కనిపిస్తుంది. ఇది ఇంకా పెరిగి పెద్దది కాబోతోందని బోస్టన్‌ కేంద్రంగా కార్యకలాపాలు సాగిస్తున్న కన్సల్టింగ్‌ సంస్థ.. బెయిన్‌ అండ్‌ కంపెనీ ఒక నివేదికలో స్పష్టం చేసింది. ముఖ్యమైన విషయం ఏమిటంటే…, ఈ క్రమంలో మధ్యతరగతి పూర్తిగా మాయమైపోవచ్చు!

ప్రపంచంలోని అన్ని రంగాల్లో ఆటోమేషన్‌ తప్పనిసరి అవుతోంది. రానున్న కాలంలో శరవేగంగా మార్పులు చోటుచేసుకుంటాయి. ఈ పరిస్థితి అధిక జీతభత్యాలు పొందే నిపుణులైన ఉద్యోగులకు అనుకూలం. కానీ తక్కువ జీతాలు వచ్చే శ్రామికవర్గానికి మాత్రం కష్టకాలమే అని తాజా అధ్యయనం తేల్చి చెప్పింది. ఇది మధ్యతరగతి వర్గంపై తీవ్ర ప్రభావం చూపనుంది.

* ఒకపక్క వస్తు, సేవల ఉత్పత్తి బాగా పెరిగి, మరోపక్క అదే సమయంలో ప్రజలకు తగినంత కొనుగోలు శక్తి లేని పరిస్థితుల్లో డిమాండ్‌ పతనం కావాలి. కానీ అది ఒకేసారి జరగదు.
* ప్రజలకు తగినంత ఆదాయం లేకపోయినప్పటికీ తొలిదశలో వారికి అప్పు బాగా లభించి తమకు నచ్చిన వస్తువులను సొంతం చేసుకోగలుగుతారు. ఇది కొంతకాలమే సాధ్యం. ఆ తర్వాత ఒక్కసారిగా డిమాండ్‌ కుప్పకూలుతుంది.
* 1990లో, 2000 సంవత్సరాల్లో ఇటువంటి పరిస్థితి కనిపించింది. పెద్దఎత్తున పెట్టుబడులతో ఐటీ కంపెనీలు విస్తరించటంతో వినియోగ డిమాండ్‌ అనూహ్యంగా పెరిగింది. కానీ ఆ తర్వాత కొంతకాలానికి ఐటీ రంగం తీవ్రమైన దిద్దుబాటుకు లోనయ్యింది. తత్ఫలితంగా మహామాంద్యం తర్వాత ఎన్నడూ లేనంతగా అతిపెద్ద మాంద్యంతో ప్రపంచ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థ తల్లడిల్లిపోయింది.
* ధనికులు మరింతగా ధనవంతులైతే.. వస్తు, సేవలకు డిమాండ్‌ పెరగదు. కానీ పేదలు, మధ్యతరగతి ప్రజలకు ఆదాయాలు పెరిగితే డిమాండ్‌ పెరుగుతుంది. తమ సంపాదన నుంచి ఎక్కువ మొత్తం ఖర్చు చేసేది పేదలు, మధ్యతరగతి ప్రజలే.
