Aila Suryanarayana alias TV Suryam submitted application to the Collector. Local liquor traders were not selling Kingfisher beers in wine shops, bar and restaurants in Jagtiyal and surrounding mandals by forming a syndicate.

“Majority of the beer lovers would prefer Kingfisher beer. Government also gets revenue through the sale of beer. Liquor traders were misleading liquor lover by selling non branded and substandard beers,” said the representation.

Article-19 of the Constitution provides right to the people to purchase items as they wish to besides right to express of opinion. However, liquor traders were denying liquor lovers’ right by banning the sale of Kingfisher beer, it added.

He urged officials to conduct inquiry to know the details that since how long, sale of beer had been banned in Jagtial and surrounding areas. He urged the officials to take action against liquor traders for not lifting their beer quota from the local liquor depots. #KhabarLive
