The Delhi liquor scam has ignited a political brawl between the TRS and the BJP. “The allegations against me and the TRS are unfounded and would stay as mere claims“, said TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. “The numerous agencies under the control of the BJP at the centre are free to order any probe they see fit. We’ll work along with them.”

According to Kavitha, this is being done since the Chief Minister has been outspoken in his criticism of the Central Government’s policies. The allegations made by K. Chandrasekhar Rao against the Central Government have alarmed the BJP, who is now attempting to damage the reputation of our family, according to Kavitha.

Sanjay, a BJP politician, claimed that KCR had visited West Bengal, Punjab, and Delhi mainly to establish a syndicate with the liquor mafia, with whom his family was closely associated.

He ordered that KCR provide details regarding whether his family members had interacted with the liquor mafia at the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi, whether they had taken the special flight set up by Ramachandra Pillai to New Delhi, and whether they were connected to the group in any way.

Sanjay said that the Telangana Chief Minister had been going to different states regularly only to get contracts for his family from liquor syndicates. “In Telangana, the excise revenue has gone up from Rs 4,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore.TRS leaders are present in all scams, right from drugs to liquor,” he said.

Sanjay said that Congress leaders too had a hand in the Delhi liquor scam and that leaders of the TRS and the Congress were hands in glove in the liquor trade. He said, “An MLA who won on Congress ticket and went to TRS later, his son-in-law, and a Congress leader’s cousin who is related to Srujan Reddy are involved in the liquor scam.” Meanwhile, BJP workers protested outside TRS MLC Kavitha’s house and many were detained.
