Party workers of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) were booked by the Hyderabad police for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), while one of the party leaders was filing his nomination with the Election Commission.

The police said that the AIMIM workers violated guidelines and permissions that were granted by the concerned Returning Officer, by conducting a bike rally. Another case was booked after party workers flew a drone over their rally, without taking permission from the concerned authorities.

“We have received a complaint from Election Commission flying squad team stating that on November 15, AIMIM candidate Ahmed Balala came to the Returning Officer’s office to file his nomination with a bike rally. We have held one person in connection with the case, and are investigating the matter,” Sultan Bazar Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chetana told #KhabarLive.
